They Were Just WeedsI remember when I used to pick them for her. My mom and I, we used to go down to the swing set in my neighborhood, and all along the ground there would be dandelions poking up through the grass at the first sign of spring. I used to remember saying "Flowders, mommy, flowders!" and picking as many as I could get in my tiny, yet chubby fist. I remember giving them to her as she sat on the swings, waiting for me to get into her lap so I could swing with her. I remember her saying, "Oh thank you darling!” in that motherly voice and setting them on the ground and pushing off, hearing my squeals of glee, saying “Higher mommy, higher!” I remember whThey Were Just Weeds
